On June 24, 2002, the World Trade Center Miami honored Governor Jeb Bush as the recipient of Florida’s International Achievement Award for 2002. This award is given annually to an individual who has provided exceptional leadership in promoting and enhancing the international business interests of Florida and its global companies.

Governor Jeb Bush received the award for his leadership of the Team Florida trade and investment missions to Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Israel and Mexico, his efforts to promote the Free Trade Agreement of the Americas and his continued enhancement of our state’s business environment. The missions assisted Florida’s international business executives to enter new markets, expand the sale of Florida’s products and services and promote Florida’s position as the “Trade Center of the Americas.”
